Permissions
To avoid unauthorized control of IoT devices or information stored in documents the chat interface is integrated with a role-based access system, similar to Linux.
User permissions
When creating a user you can specify the default permissions, which can be Administrator, User or Viewer. An Administator has full access to all information and devices. A Viewer can only view information, not change or control it. You can also define a set of groups like IT, Management, or Public. You can assign a user to multiple roles.
Object permissions
For each topic or document you can optionally assign a group. If a group is assigned the topic or document can only be viewed by users that are a member of that group. If no group is specified, all users can view the information.
Document access matrix
Below is an example of an access matrix for an uploaded document. To make the information in a document accessible to certain users you need to select a group with the document and assign this group to all users that need access.
